What Do You Do When Your Radio System Coverage Isn’t Enough?

Over the past decade the priority Public Safety radio system coverage has shifted from being Mobile-only coverage, to requiring Portable Outdoor, and Portable In-building coverage. Depending on the frequency band being used and the location of the jurisdiction, often it is not possible to design a system that provides public safety grade coverage in all the buildings or remote areas of your service area. However, there are supplemental coverage alternatives that can be implemented to provide the radio coverage where you need it. In this presentation we will discuss P25 LTE/Wi-Fi capabilities, Mobile Apps, In-building/DAS/BDA systems, paging systems, and the many other ways that you can communicate on your public radio system in places where your traditional LMR technology isn't adequate.
