Conventional service and circuit demarcation between utilities is done with DS0s and TDM, even in packet networks. However, this restricts the handed off services to mainly being TDM based. This precludes packet based VPLS and VPRN services and, importantly, packet native current differential services. This session explores a novel way of handing off services to neighboring utilities without sharing IGP routing protocols and end node IP addressing while sharing only the bare minimum of information altogether. This approach's goal is to have good cyber security features while still being able to "do the job" handling circuits off.
