Director of Cybersecurity

Ken is the Director of Cybersecurity for Regional Carriers, Mission Critical Utilities, and US Federal. He provides comprehensive support and is the primary point of contact for security and privacy-related issues between the customer and Ericsson. He identifies, understands, and addresses customer security concerns, handles all matters related to the security of the solution or services provided by Ericsson and verifies contract fulfillment of security requirements. He communicates with key stakeholders regarding current and emerging customer security-related requirements that require new or additional development and works with security partners for security use case development. He teaches and speaks often on security related topics including IEEE, UBBA, NDSS, Milcom, Power Utility conferences, CCA, and other industry forums.
Ken was the Director of Security for Private Networks for Ericsson North America responsible for Cyber security for Mission Critical Mobile Networks including Department of Defense, Military/Public Safety, Large Enterprise, and Electric Power Utilities that require expertise in multiple security domains across the RAN Networks, IP Transport, and Core Digital Services areas. He worked with government agencies, standards bodies, industry committees and similar groups in helping to further work in the field of networking and security while providing proper representation of Ericsson. He was the co-chair for the ATIS Zero Trust Architecture subcommittee and was the NSTAC POC. Prior Ken had been with Cisco Systems for 24 years with 23 of those being in senior Technical Solutions Engineering. He was a speaker on Security to Cisco’s North American partners for many years and also at CiscoLive.
He was also a Telecommunications Officer in the US Army leaving the service as a Forward Signal Unit Company Commander. Ken has his CISSP, GCFA, GPEN, GAWN, GMOB, GPYC, GMON, GLIR, and GCIA along with a Bachelor and Masters degree from Boston University.
