He is a member of UTC's packet migration work group and was a speaker at UTC 2025 in Long Beach discussing “How Utilities Are Transitioning Relay Circuits to Packet Networks” and “Interoperability with Carriers & Other Entities.” John spoke at Nokia SReXperts America's 2023 in New Orleans discussing how utilities leverage telecommunications networks to deliver public value. He is currently engaged in packet migration programs with utilities in Colorado and the Pacific Northwest.
