Guilhermme Lisboa, native and resident of Curitiba, Brazil, has built a career in Power Systems Automation since 2008. He began as a Lead Engineer for PACS (Protection, Automation, and Control Systems) and later advanced to Engineering Manager, expanding his responsibilities to cover both PACS and Telecom projects.
Throughout his career, Guilhermme has collaborated with leading EPC contractors and System Integrators, delivering successful projects across Transmission, Distribution, Renewables, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems), GIS (Gas-Insulated Substations), Industry, and Mass Transit. He has consistently led challenges related to PACS, with a strong emphasis on IEC 61850 applications and the network design aspects that accompany them.
In 2022, he joined Belden as a Global Digital Automation Consultant, focusing on IEC 61850, Digital Substations, and next-generation PACS innovations. His expertise bridges utility engineering and advanced communications, supporting utilities in accelerating digital transformation and the transition to packet-based networks.
Guilhermme holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (UFPR, 2008) and an M.Sc. in Electronic Systems (2023). He is also an active member of CIGRÉ Study Committees B5 (Protection and Automation) and D2 (Information Systems and Telecommunication), contributing to the evolution of international standards and promoting global knowledge exchange in the field.
