Ram Swaminathan brings over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with deep expertise in architecting, designing, testing, and troubleshooting cellular packet data core systems from 2G to 5G Standalone. His background spans SONET systems, network security, risk and vulnerability assessments, push-to-talk, and roaming solutions. Ram has been instrumental in integrating business logic into packet core gateways for major carriers like Sprint and T-Mobile. He has also worked with MVNOs and vendors to implement advanced features such as online charging, IPSec transport for Lawful Intercept, and per-subscriber firewalls. Currently, Ram helps utilities, including LCRA, TECO, and Exelon, design and deploy private 4G/5G networks for distribution use cases.
