Brett is an attorney, advocate, and trusted advisor to electric utility companies on a broad array of transactional, regulatory and policy issues that impact utility infrastructure. Brett has supported electric utility companies in their efforts to deploy broadband infrastructure, and has helped them to understand and comply with the many federal, state, and local regulations that affect broadband projects. She also has worked to broker successful partnerships between utility companies and communications service providers for the expansion of broadband to unserved and underserved communities. For almost two decades, Brett has worked with electric utility companies on pole attachment issues and has advocated the positions of the industry before the FCC in rulemaking and complaint cases. She also represents utility pole owners in their negotiation of pole attachment terms and assists on everyday pole attachment compliance matters.
