The FCC recently issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to streamline the environmental rules for wireless facilities. If adopted, the FCC's proposals would reduce the costs and regulatory burdens for deployments of FCC-licensed facilities by utilities. This presentation will provide a summary of the FCC's proposals and provide guidance on how utilities can navigate the FCC's rules for pre-construction environmental and historic property review required for deployment of wireless facilities by utilities.
